Sound quality and clarity was very good, decent bass too, not earth shaking but good enough to have loud music on the boat that everyone can hear without distortion. I was able to turn up the volume to 43 out of a max of 50 before the speakers distorted a bit. An amp would really make these things crank, but if your on an budget this set up will do well for most. Im sure adding a powered sub alone would make the above setup sound perfect. Maybe Next season..... A little tip the positive and neg terminals were not marked you need to read the diagram on the box to see which one is + and -
